Thank you for the in depth review. Internet dating can be a great way to meet people. Unfortunately there are so many options it can be overwhelming. Thanks for helping to clear things up a bit.

One big negative of eHarmony is that many of the matches it sends to me, a paid member turn out to be non-members who are unable to respond to my questions! And, even though I have asked, eHarmony refuses to identify to me which matches it sends to me are members and which are non-members. So many of your matches could be a big waste of time.

I don't know how Match.com works in this regard, but I plan to find out.

Most of the dating sites will try to limit you at some point of using them. and then they will try to charge you. for example datingfruit.com absolutely free no hidden cost

Great article, and the author obviously did a thorough research and has given lots of thoughts to other websites that were not on the list.

Free websites don't work, whether POF or OKCupid... If you are looking for serious relationship or meaningful dating, stay away from them. People from POF sometimes don't have truthful profile to represent themselves!

Totally agree Match is the best site so far. E-harmony sometimes wont' be able to produce any match at all.

I've tried eHarmony and Match. In my area, there were very few matches with eHarmony, and the questions seemed rather trite. Plus, they insist on setting me up with men up to 15 years older than me... claiming more compatibility. YUCK! My experience with Match is that it is overpopulated with recovering addicts of some kind... and again, got routinely hit on by much older men.

OkCupid has the best format for meeting people you actually share values with... and it lets the emailers know if you don't pass your filters. Hurray!

Actually, I'm upping my efforts to meet people in real life and not rely on any of these. In the meantime, I'm happy to use OkCupid for backup... at least to learn about myself. Couldn't hurt!
